I'm planning on going to the herp show this weekend in KC to do a little T buying and I'm a little concerned about the upcoming weather (100+ ). We're planning to hit the show around noon, look (and buy ;D) for a couple of hours and then head out for some BBQ and then spend an hour or so at Bass Pro Shop. I'm going to take a cooler, but should I put a ice pack in it? Looking for suggestions from some folks who may have already gone through this. I'd hate to cook my T's in the car while having lunch! Maybe put the ice pack under a few layers of something with the T's up top?

Usually if I have to leave pets in a car and its going to be hot I lock the car with the animals inside and the car still running. I always have a large guard dog (akita or rottie) inside though.
Not that it helps you this weekend, there are some systems out there, made for dogs specifically, that are fans with warning systems that will trigger your car on if the temps get to high.
